Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Des Moines Downtown

Very impressed with the king suite we stayed in! Roomy, clean, quiet and the bed/pillows oh so comfortable. Fabulous continental breakfast in a spacious sunny room. Steps from Wells Fargo where our event was. Downfalls, would like to have a restaurant closer, even attached to the hotel would be excellent. We struggled to find food before and after the concert. Also, we received an extra charge for $21 that I’m not clear on the reason. We didn’t do anything extra, unless that’s a charge for parking?

Breakfast was great, bar and the staff at the bar was great, front desk staff was wonderful, location is amazing and very walkable to many locations throughout the city. Right on the river walk!

great location and easy to access parking, close to lots of restaurants and things to do. room was very comfy and the shower was absolutely amazing. also loved that we had access to showtime and netflix while we stayed!

The breakfast was typical motel fare. Scrambled eggs, waffles, limited selection of yoghurt and fruit. Nothing to write home about. I was a little nonplussed that for our entire one week stay a housekeeper never set foot in the room nor were we asked if there was anything we needed. We aren't high maintenance so it really didn't matter but nonetheless it did surprise me. We weren't told at check that there would be no housekeeping service.

The room was really nice and roomy. The room had a nice view and a comfy bed, the basics were covered. The breakfast had lots of nice options and spacious.
